Life:
Still no actual tooth through the gums yet, but her lower left tooth is starting to show right under the gum line, so I think it will push through any day now. It's really hard to say since Harmony just wont let me get a good look in there!
Breastfeeding is going a little better now that Harmony is no longer congested, but the middle of the night is still a BIG problem. She will nurse, and sometimes go back to sleep, but lately she's been up from 3 or 4 in the morning and for an hour or so! This is just so frustration, especially when she has one of her "screaming fits" when nothing will appease her- she doesn't want to be fed, rocked, burped, sang to, cuddled (especially not cuddled!) etc. etc. etc. Uusually whatever I try last is not an indication of what works (since what works one night wont work the next) but a case of Harmony just being tired enough after being up screaming off and on for an hour. I guess I'll just chalk it up to teething pain and continue giving Tempra, but I'm also going to try giving her a bottle first thing and not even attempt nursing since she doesn't even really eat. I really hope things start getting better because 3 in the morning in when I have the very LEAST ammount of patience (and flexibility) and I'm just getting so frustrated!
Harmony's Growth:
When Harmony first started rolling (I guess it was a month or month and a half ago?) she did it three times in a week, and then stopped altogether. Well, she's picked it up again and rolled over 5 times just yesterday! I wish she liked her stomach more because she always rolls over, grabs the toy or whatever it was she was rolling after and then when she loses her arms for support, she fully realizes that "oh no! I'm on my tummy!" and just starts crying until I turn back over. I have a feeling it's going to seem like forever until she learns to turn front to back or until Harmony learns to like her tummy because I'm going to get so sick of "rescuing" her every time she rolls over. But oh well, at least she's doing it and hopefully it'll help her like her tummy more.
Harmony was weighed on Tuesday and is now up to 17 pounds 6 oz.
No new food this week, but I'll be letting Harmony try another fruit (probably peaches or pears) after the next time I get a chance to do groceries.
