Week 42

(September 10th, 1999- September 17th, 1999)

Life:

I'm busy getting settled into school so this will be a fairly short journal entry. This week has been super busy as I've been getting settled into a routine at school. It's been going pretty well so far. I've used most of my mornings for study and homework time, and haven't had to do much school work at home after the baby goes to bed (which means I have more time to do a seemingly endless ammount of chores!). I took Harmony to the Museum of Nature on Saturday and she had a great time! We got lots of really cute pictures of the kids too (Sarah and Krissie came and brought Bailey, Arianna and Lauren, so we had quite a little gang). We also got to go to not one, but two birthday dinners this week- my uncle Phil had his birthday on Sunday night- he gave Harmony some cake, which she loved. He didn't have a high chair, and I still haven't bought that fold-up one I want, so he brought up this big red tub and we tied it to an armed chair! It was just too funny to see her peaking out of that little tub, we got a few cute pictures of that too. My grandma had a birthday dinner for my brother on Wednesday (I can't believe he's 18 now!) and Greg sneaked Harmony a little more cake. Sheesh, I was trying not to turn her into a sugar addict. Nah, I'm sure a few little bites wont hurt her. :)

Harmony's Growth:

Not much new in the Growth and Development section. I think Harmony is working on more teeth, she's still teething really hard- drooling all over the place, and chewing on everything. Still no walking, but she's getting more confidant with her "cruising". :)

"Fourth Trimester"

Wow, I haven't gotten to use this section in a while. I was hoping to have written this in my actual fourth trimester, but unfortunately, it's taken this long...but...
I finally fit into a pair of my pre-preggo jeans! I know, it's pathetic that it's taken me 9 and a half months, but I think I'm finally starting to lose that belly. Just genetics I suppose- I come from a pretty large family, and I'm actually doing pretty well considering my body size. Everyone has been telling me lately that I really look like I've lost weight. Although I still haven't lost any actual weight (I'm still only 7 pounds less than what I was at 8 and a half months pregnant), I've lost quite a bit of fat, even from my face. I think it's that my body is finally adjusting to not nursing anymore, and my appetite is adjusting to no longer being pregnant or nursing anymore! :)

Continue to the next week...
