Well the big event this week was Harmony's First Birthday Party! :)
Here's who was there:
Everyone came over and had lunch here. We had lasagna and sandwich "roll-ups" (cheese and meat in a flour tortilla) and of course CAKE! Mommy baked you a cake, and frosted it with yummy icing. Krissie shared her expertise by helping decorate the cake and writing "Happy Birthday Harmony!".
Harmony wore a pretty little navy blue dress with pink flowers and ribbon on it (it's the same on as in her 1 year photo), and even put up with the little navy blue tights and black dress shoes (for a little while anyways!) Everyone else looked great too- Ben (Harmony's "boyfriend"!) even wore a little bowtie!
All the babies ate at Harmony's new kiddie table and chairs- her big birthday gift from Mommy. When the cake came, Harmony watched that one candle intensely, and all of sudden grabbed for it!!! Someone was just in the middle of taking a picture to, so we have a pic of Harmony with her finger on the now unlit wick, with a little trail of smoke. Oddly enough, she's not upset in the picture, although the photographer caught mommy in an "Oh no!" face. She did cry after, but I think mainly because everyone else jumped!
The babies (and the adults too!) really enjoyed the cake and ice cream- yum! Harmony got lots of great presents- books, and bath toys, and a cute little teddy bear clock, among other things.
Both Harmony and mommy had a big nap after that exciting day! :)
Harmony's Growth:
A new word for Harmony on her first birthday! She said "Anna" to her little friend Arianna! We were all so excited. :)
